    Upgraded … SOOOO worth it!

"I’ve been backpacking w my chair zero for what seems like many years now. Upgrading to the high back chair is SOOOO worth it! The extra 2 oz of weight is a tiny price to pay for a lot of extra comfort."

    Did not complete order

"I reached out to customer service on 5/7/2026 concerning an item missing from shipment. As of today it has not been resolved. I was told there was an inventory of the warehouse being conducted on 5/21. Customer service is atrocious for this company. No phone number. Only emails left unanswered."

    LIGHT!

"I find myself sitting up and leaning forward in this chair. I'm 6' fall and have some meaty thighs, so it is not the most comfortable when sitting back in it. Perfect chair for an overnight backpacking trip!"

Doesn’t live up to the hype

"The chair zero high back is light and well constructed and was comfortable at first. The high back provides better support than the chair zero. Unfortunately , I noticed the seat of the chair narrowing when sitting down due to bowing of the seat frame and was causing discomfort when sitting more than 30 minutes at a time. The bowing also changes the shape and reduces the available surface area of the chair fabric where my bottom contacts the chair. I think the seat frame needs to be more robust, like the one used on the legs, to avoid this bowing effect. (For the reference, I am 5’5” and weigh 150 lbs)."

    Gets most things right

"Love the weight, the width, packability, height from ground. What I do find is that the seat could be a bit longer to support under the legs or it could be tilted a little further back. Otherwise, top marks."

    Great chair

"I like the whole chair . I sat in the Nemo ultralight and couldn’t stand it . I sat in the regular Nemo and it was ok . Then I sat in this chair at REI and loved it. Have used it at the gun range for lunch. it’s absolutely light it will go in the front of my kayak got tired of sitting on the ground . The only negative I can say is. For the price you should most definitely get a waterproof bag. I’m 5ft9 200lbs"

Great chair and worth the weight

"Have had the 0 low backs for a few years now. Great chairs and worth the weight IMO. I have a few of them and every time we go out, my buddies ask to borrow one. lol. Moved to the high back version and even more worth the weight IMO, even though it’s not much more. It does not dig into my shoulders like the other chairs do and the fact that I can recline with my head on the back (have to slide down a little…I’m 6’1” for reference) is a game changer at camp. So now, my buddies have asked if I am going to get a few more of the high backs when we go out. Only thing that I am not a fan of with these chairs are the plastic hubs. I do worry about longevity overall and wish they would move to an aluminum hub."

Wish I would’ve had the choice of white seat.

"I own a bunch of backpacking chairs and this one is by far, the best. I is only 8oz more than the lightest helinox, but for me, the most comfortable. I only wish it came in white when I bought the grey with blue legs. White seat with blue legs is by far the prettiest."

    Lisa H. (5/5)

    Very comfortable for the weight

"Great chair, very comfortable especially for the weight, I do wish it had somewhere on the chair to stash the stuff bag when it's unfolded, mine ended up blowing away on a trip :/"

    Q&A

Do any of the warm liners or blankets fit this model?
Hi Rebecca! Whilst the Toasty does fit the chair, it is a pretty loose fit as the Toasty is much bigger.
Good afternoon, Do you ship to South Africa? I would like to place an order, but South Africa is not available in your dropdown list of countries.
Hi Daniel, We, unfortunately, do not ship to South Africa at the moment.
Can the head rest on the chair zero accept the pack bag stuff with a towel or shirt to add additional comfort and support for the users head?
Hi Matt, The only chair models that feature the attachable chair case that can be turned into a headrest are the Chair Two, Sunset, Savanna and Beach Chair.
How do I just order the seat?
Hi Keith, You can purchase a Chair Zero High-back seat individually from our 'Replacement Parts' section, which you can find here: https://helinox.com/collections/replacement-seats/products/chair-zero-high-back-seat-replacement?variant=42931759513774

Hi Sam, unfortunately we don't offer Ball Feet that are compatible with the Chair Zero High-Back at the moment.
