Upgraded … SOOOO worth it!
"I’ve been backpacking w my chair zero for what seems like many years now. Upgrading to the high back chair is SOOOO worth it! The extra 2 oz of weight is a tiny price to pay for a lot of extra comfort."
The Chair Zero High-Back boasts unrivaled comfort for as light as it is. Combining the strong, ultralight engineering of the Chair Zero with more comfortable shoulder and upper back support, it’s ideal for rest after backpacking or a long day of trekking.

"I reached out to customer service on 5/7/2026 concerning an item missing from shipment. As of today it has not been resolved. I was told there was an inventory of the warehouse being conducted on 5/21. Customer service is atrocious for this company. No phone number. Only emails left unanswered."
"Worst chair ever"
"I find myself sitting up and leaning forward in this chair. I'm 6' fall and have some meaty thighs, so it is not the most comfortable when sitting back in it. Perfect chair for an overnight backpacking trip!"
"The chair zero high back is light and well constructed and was comfortable at first. The high back provides better support than the chair zero. Unfortunately , I noticed the seat of the chair narrowing when sitting down due to bowing of the seat frame and was causing discomfort when sitting more than 30 minutes at a time. The bowing also changes the shape and reduces the available surface area of the chair fabric where my bottom contacts the chair. I think the seat frame needs to be more robust, like the one used on the legs, to avoid this bowing effect. (For the reference, I am 5’5” and weigh 150 lbs)."
"Love the weight, the width, packability, height from ground. What I do find is that the seat could be a bit longer to support under the legs or it could be tilted a little further back. Otherwise, top marks."
"I like the whole chair . I sat in the Nemo ultralight and couldn’t stand it . I sat in the regular Nemo and it was ok . Then I sat in this chair at REI and loved it. Have used it at the gun range for lunch. it’s absolutely light it will go in the front of my kayak got tired of sitting on the ground . The only negative I can say is. For the price you should most definitely get a waterproof bag. I’m 5ft9 200lbs"
"Have had the 0 low backs for a few years now. Great chairs and worth the weight IMO. I have a few of them and every time we go out, my buddies ask to borrow one. lol. Moved to the high back version and even more worth the weight IMO, even though it’s not much more. It does not dig into my shoulders like the other chairs do and the fact that I can recline with my head on the back (have to slide down a little…I’m 6’1” for reference) is a game changer at camp. So now, my buddies have asked if I am going to get a few more of the high backs when we go out. Only thing that I am not a fan of with these chairs are the plastic hubs. I do worry about longevity overall and wish they would move to an aluminum hub."
"I own a bunch of backpacking chairs and this one is by far, the best. I is only 8oz more than the lightest helinox, but for me, the most comfortable. I only wish it came in white when I bought the grey with blue legs. White seat with blue legs is by far the prettiest."
"Great chair, very comfortable especially for the weight, I do wish it had somewhere on the chair to stash the stuff bag when it's unfolded, mine ended up blowing away on a trip :/"
